Two persons have been arrested for killing more than 100 ducks in a farm near here on Monday night.Police said unidentified persons who entered the duck farm of Muppidathi at Tharuvai near here on Monday night, killed more than 100 ducks with swords and escaped. The incident came to light when Mr. Muppidathi came to the farm on Tuesday morning.Based on his complaint, Munneerpallam police registered a case. The police, during investigation, found that M. Maharajan alias Maya, V. Rajesh, S. Hari, all from Tharuvai and Sonu of Cheranmahadevi had asked Muppidathi to give them ducks free of cost. As he refused, the foursome had allegedly killed the birds.After arresting Maya, 24, and Rajesh, 23, the hunt is on to arrest the remaining two.
