The Anti-Narcotic Task Force of the Erode district police arrested two persons from Bihar for the alleged possession of ganja and seized 2 kg of the contraband.A release from the district police said the arrests were made during a search on May 17 at Kongampalayam in Chithode, under the supervision of Superintendent of Police D.V. Kiran Shruthi. The accused, identified as S. Andu Kumar (19) and A. Lal Babu Chaudhary (25) were staying at a house used by textile workers.The police said the ganja was recovered from the house. A case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the accused were remanded in judicial custody.
