Two-week long Rangayana Davangere theatre and music training workshop begins
Ranganaya Davangere has organised a two-week training workshop in theatre and music for youth in Belagavi.Mallikarjuna Kadakol, director Rangayana Davangere, inaugurated the workshop at the Basavaraj Kattimani Auditorium on Thursday. The two-week long course will be conducted by resource persons experienced in professional theatre and classical music.Mr. Kadakol said that professional theatre has a rich heritage of performance, stage music and dance.“While hindustani music is important in North Karnataka, carnatic (Dakshinadi) music tradition has grown in South Karnataka.
