UK: Cerner Abbas’ iconic chalk giant gets first major makeover
The Cerne Abbas Giant in Dorset is undergoing its first major restoration in May 2026. Conservation teams are using 17 tonnes of wet chalk to renew the fading outline of the iconic landmark. This project aims to preserve the 55-meter-high figure for future generations.
