UK launches ‘Great British Summer Savings’ to ease family costs
The UK government has introduced the 'Great British Summer Savings' scheme to help families manage costs during the summer. This initiative includes a temporary reduction in VAT from 20% to 5% for children's activities and meals from June 25 to September 1, 2026. Additionally, children aged five to 15 will be able to travel free on local buses throughout August.
