VFYW: This One Stinks
I’ve got three acres of woods that need a guardian. My very earliest memory is of a quake that struck when I was 3 years, 8 months old. Its magnitude was 5.7 and its epicenter — beneath the Gulf of the Farallones outside the Golden Gate — was 25 miles from our single-story ranch house, which was built on a concrete-slab foundation on a level, solid, non-landfill lot in Marin County.
