The first phase of house listing in the city, part of the preliminary process for Census-2027, has reached the final stage and will conclude on May 30, GVMC Additional Commissioner and City Census Officer D.V. Ramana Murthy said. He said 97% of the house listing process had been completed so far within Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) limits.“As many as 9,13,650 houses have been recorded. We have identified over 1.47 lakh vacant houses where construction has been completed but no one is residing, along with 37,358 locked houses,” he said.
