Upon hearing his cry, Vellakutty’s family members rushed to the spot and, on seeing them, the duo fled.He was taken to the hospital, but he died on the way. The Veeranam police registered a case, and on Monday arrested E. Ajith (23), a resident of Chinna Veeranam and M. Manikandan (20), a resident of Kathalapadi in Veeranam and remanded them in prison.
