WHO chief calls for DRC ceasefire to tackle Ebola outbreak
The WHO chief has called for a ceasefire in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to address the ongoing Ebola outbreak. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted the urgent need for humanitarian access as the outbreak has led to significant displacement and insecurity in the region. As of now, there are 900 suspected cases and 223 suspected deaths from Ebola in the DRC.
