CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A woman in South Carolina died on Saturday after she was struck by a windblown umbrella while dining on the patio of a restaurant, officials confirmed this weekend. The incident happened at the Driftwood Grill, a restaurant on Lake Marion in Summerton, on May 23, according to the Clarendon County Coroner’s Office. Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell said first responders were called around 7:40 p.m. for a reported laceration.
