3.7 million players later, UK-made action-survival game Atomfall is getting its own TV show
Rebellion's 2025 action-survival game Atomfall, developed in the UK and inspired by the 1957 Windscale disaster, is being adapted into a television series following its success with over 3.7 million players and winning Best British Game at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards. The show is being written by Emmy and Golden Globe-winning duo Harry and Jack Williams, known for Fleabag and The Missing, and will be executive produced by them alongside Rebellion's Jason and Chris Kingsley. While no casting or release date has been announced, the series aims to expand the game's distinctive British post-apocalyptic narrative for television.
