An elderly woman and her granddaughter ended their lives due to a family dispute here on Tuesday (May 19, 2026).According to the police, Ammani (65), a resident of Govindasamy Colony near Kannankurichi, was living with her son Raja (46) and her granddaughter Satha (23), who was a differently-abled person. Police said that Raja became addicted to liquor, did not go to work properly and failed to take care of the family. Following this, his mother quarrelled with him regularly.
