Before doing anything else introduced in FF14 patch 7.5, I beelined it to the Calamity Salvager to free up inventory space with the new dye system
Final Fantasy 14's patch 7.5 introduces a new dye consolidation system that allows players to free up significant inventory space by exchanging large collections of individual dyes for a few unified items. Players can visit the Calamity Salvager in any of the three starting cities to complete the exchange. While most dyes are now consolidated, certain rare and cash shop dyes remain separate. The change is especially beneficial for players who heavily collect dyes for glamour purposes.
- ▪Patch 7.5 allows players to consolidate hundreds of individual dyes into just three new unified dye items via the Calamity Salvager.
- ▪The Standard Spectrum Dye replaces 85 common dyes, while Wide Spectrum #1 and #2 Dyes replace special event and Dawntrail-related dyes.
- ▪Players can now free up dozens of inventory slots, with some reducing 85+ slots down to just a few.
- ▪Old dyes can no longer be purchased, and the new consolidated dyes are tradable and have become valuable on the market.
- ▪Certain high-end dyes like General-purpose Pure White and cash shop dyes are not included in the consolidation system.
