If anything, we know for a fact they're not in it for the money, because independent creative work pays terribly unless your parents have a Wikipedia page. That creativity is on full display in DUCKS, a recent short by indie animator AJ Jefferies that's as endearing as it is utterly bizarre. Describing its plot, inasmuch as it has one, is… difficult… but if I had to guess, I'd say it's about the transformative power of greed.
