Cannes Critics’ Week: Next Step Studio Sets Four Shorts Co-Created by Young Indonesian Directors
The Cannes Critics’ Week has announced four short films from its Next Step Studio initiative, co-created by young Indonesian directors and international collaborators. The program supports emerging filmmakers by guiding them from short films to feature-length projects through co-creation workshops. This year’s shorts, produced with support from Indonesian and French cultural institutions, will premiere during the 65th Critics’ Week from May 13 to 21.
- ▪Next Step Studio enables eight emerging directors—four local and four international—to co-write and co-direct four short films annually.
