Businessman Richard Wastnage has joined the board of the Cornish Pirates following his investment in the Championship rugby club. He co-founded the pharmaceutical company Pharmaxo Group and currently leads One Atlantek, a hospitality and property firm that sponsors the team. Wastnage is part of a consortium of local investors who took over the club in 2025.
