Death of dental student in Kerala: father alleges lapses in probe, plans to move High Court

Alleging lack of transparency and inconsistencies in the investigation into the death of Anjarakandy Dental College student R.L Nithin Raj, his father K.L. Rajan has said that the probe has not proceeded in a straight manner from the beginning and indicated that the family may approach the Kerala High Court if dissatisfaction persists.Speaking after a meeting with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Yathish Chandra G. H. and District Police Chief P. Nithinraj in Kannur on Thursday (April 30, 2026), Mr. Rajan said the family had not sought a Crime Branch (CB) probe and came to know about the transfer of the investigation to the CB only later.
