Google on Wednesday announced it’s adding support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) on Google Home, meaning you’ll soon be able to let your preferred AI agents interact with your smart home devices.Google already allows Gemini to respond to questions about your smart devices. The new integration adds support for other MCP-supporting tools, including Google Antigravity, Claude, Hermes, OpenClaw, and others, according to a blog post.The AI agents can fetch information about all devices in the Google Home ecosystem, including Nest doorbells, security cameras, thermostats, and smart bulbs.
