Surveillance footage obtained by News 12 showed the gunman manhandling the victim as he shoved a firearm in his face and appeared to try to yank something out of his hand on a Borough Park sidewalk around 3:30 a.m. The victim, appearing to hold money, resisted the robbery, leading the gunman to fire a warning shot into the front yard of a residence near Ninth Avenue and 58th Street, according to the clip that was also posted on social media.
