Hermosa Beach dine-and-dasher caught on camera rampaging through restaurant and chugging booze
A man who previously dined and dashed at Playa Hermosa Fish & Oyster Co. in Hermosa Beach returned to the restaurant early Wednesday morning, smashing dozens of bottles and causing extensive damage, according to surveillance footage and the owner. The suspect, who was captured on camera drinking alcohol during the rampage, was arrested by Hermosa Beach police after attempting to flee through the back. Restaurant owner Levi Lupercio declined to press charges, citing concerns about the man's mental health and the inefficiency of the legal process.
