Is there a way to run x86 software on android?

Obviously it won't be native, but I don't know what kind of emulation options there are. I am considering getting a used flagship android and hacking it for admin privileges or swapping the os to linux so I can then emulate windows to run some MMOs and games that are PC exclusive. Obviously new stuff would not be performant enough but I'm thinking old stuff like DDO, SWTOR, Mabinogi, Tiberian Sun, etc. Running Minecraft without the emulation step would be a nice bonus. But the critical step here
