Jonathan India has season-ending surgery
Jonathan India underwent season-ending labral surgery on his left shoulder, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2026 season. The Kansas City Royals second baseman had been on the Injured List since April 18 after dealing with recurring shoulder issues since June 2025. India struggled offensively and defensively in his two seasons with the Royals following a trade from the Cincinnati Reds. Michael Massey is expected to take over at second base in his absence.
