Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) sought the intervention of the central government to deal with the ongoing fuel crisis in the State. The MP formally met Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas at New Delhi on Tuesday and drew his attention to the situation. He explained that nearly 70% of the 4,510 fuel stations had become non-operational after facing acute shortage.While there is no deficiency in the neighbouring States of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra, Mr. Reddy maintained that fuel was being rationed in Andhra Pradesh, with cars being allocated 10-15 litres of diesel and two-wheelers restricted to petrol worth ₹200.
