Northern Territory Police have found a body believed to be that of five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby, who went missing from the Old Timers town camp on the outskirts of Alice Springs. The child, referred to by her family as Kumanjayi Little Baby, was last seen on Saturday night and the body was discovered five kilometres from her home after a five-day search. Police are actively searching for 47-year-old Jefferson Lewis, a recently released prisoner, who they allege abducted and killed the girl and whose DNA was found on the child's underwear.
