A man with criminal antecedents was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by an unidentified person at Lalbagh Junction on Mahatma Gandhi Road here on Saturday.Police identified the injured man as Vicky Bappal. The incident occurred when Bappal was riding a motorcycle. The assailant, also on a motorcycle, followed him and swung a machete, injuring him on the neck, City Commissioner of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy said, quoting eyewitnesses.Bappal was shifted to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
