Estas líneas hacen referencia a cómo surgió la idea de la existencia de esta extraña materia que representa el 80% de la masa del universo. Hablar de materia oscura es adentrarse en el Universo y, dentro de él, fijarnos en las galaxias. Conjuntos de estrellas, unidos gravitacionalmente, que viajan y giran conjuntamente a gran velocidad. La nuestra es la Vía Láctea. Para las galaxias existe una relación entre su masa y la luz que emiten.
