The number of Indian pilgrims eligible for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been increased to 1,000 for 2026, up from 750 in the previous year, as part of ongoing efforts to normalize India-China relations. The pilgrimage, scheduled from June to August, will be conducted through two routes—Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim—with 20 batches of 50 pilgrims each.
