Pilot flicks switch on data centre at WA oil and gas site
Pilot Energy has successfully commissioned the first 1MW module of its Dongara data centre at the Cliff Head oil and gas site in Western Australia, on schedule and within budget. The project, a joint venture with UAE-based Kala Data, repurposes existing power infrastructure to support high-performance computing. An initial 0.4MW of computing capacity is operational, with plans for a 4MW expansion by late 2026.
