Plea to postpone CWMA meeting

The Cauvery Rights Retrieval Committee has demanded the postponement of the 50th meeting of Cauvery Water Management Authority scheduled on April 29 since the lower riparian States were under caretaker governments due to the Assembly elections.In a statement issued on Tuesday (April 28), CRRC coordinator P. Maniarasan pointed out that Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry were under caretaker governments due to the ongoing election process and, hence, the interests of Karnataka could easily be pushed through.
