Skip Copy and Paste: Gemini Now Delivers Answers as Docs, PDFs, Excel, More
Google has updated Gemini to allow users to receive responses directly in file formats such as PDF, DOCX, and XLSX without needing to copy and paste. The feature is now available globally for all Gemini app users and supports direct export to Google Drive when linked to a Workspace account. Gemini automatically handles formatting, making it easier to transfer content into different applications.

Gemini can now generate downloadable files directly within the chat.Google began rolling out the update on Wednesday, and it’s available for all Gemini app users globally. Just launch the Gemini app or website, type in your query, and ask the chatbot to provide the response in a preferred file type.Formats supported at launch include .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .csv, LaTeX, plain text (TXT), rich text format (RTF), and markdown (MD). If you have linked Gemini to your Workspace account, you can export the response directly to Google Drive as a Doc, Sheet, or Slide.
