Slumping Phillies fire manager Rob Thomson after losing 11 of last 12 games
The Philadelphia Phillies fired manager Rob Thomson after losing 11 of their first 12 games in the 2026 season, despite his success in leading the team to four straight playoffs and a 2022 World Series appearance. Thomson, who had a 355-270 record and a contract through 2027, was replaced by interim manager Don Mattingly.
