The Union government has returned Karnataka’s proposal for wildlife clearance for the proposed Kalasa-Bhanduri drinking water project in the Mahadayi river basin, saying the matter was sub-judice.Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, has written a letter to Chief Minister D.K. 19312/2019 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on 18.10.2023, challenging the order dated 29.03.2023 of the Chief Wildlife Warden, Goa. We will move the Supreme Court for clarifications.
