10-foot-tall statue of Potti Sriramulu unveiled in Vizianagaram
A 10-foot-tall statue of Potti Sriramulu was unveiled in Vizianagaram by former Deputy Speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy during a ceremony organized by the Sri Potti Sriramulu Smaraka Seva Samithi. Swamy praised Sriramulu's sacrifice for a separate Andhra state and commended the installation of 58 statues marking his 58-day fast. The event honored the statue donor Ravivarma and key members of the organizing committee. Several officials and leaders associated with the Samithi attended the program.

Former Deputy Speaker of the AP Legislative Assembly Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy on Tuesday said that Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu’s sacrifices for a separate State for the people of Andhra would continue to inspire all generations in the future. He unveiled a 10-foot-tall statue of Potti Sriramulu near Ring Road in Vizianagaram at a programme organised by the Sri Potti Sriramulu Smaraka Seva Samithi.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Veerabhadra Swamy lauded the association for establishing 58 statues to mark Potti’s 58 days of agitation in 1952. Mr. Veerabhadra Swamy felicitated the statue donor Ravivarma, his family members, and the Samithi president Cherukuri Nagaraju, secretary Battula Kamesh, programme chairmann Bandaru Chandrasekhar and others.
