Four from Hyderabad killed, six injured as SUV hits parked lorry on Macherla-Veldurthi highway

Four members of a family were killed and six others sustained injuries after the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) they were travelling in rammed into a stationary lorry on the Macherla-Veldurthi highway in Palnadu district in the early hours of Friday (June 26, 2026). Among the dead were two men and two women.According to information provided to The Hindu by Palnadu district Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao, the accident occurred at around 3.30 a.m. within the limits of the Macherla Town police station.
