Last week, I ate 20-plus dishes from different parts of the country in a single meal. No, this was not a buffet at a star restaurant, but an intimate meal at someone’s home in Chennai. We have seen kitty parties, apartment communities hosting potlucks, and people hosting friends over for a meal. These community-driven social gatherings are a great way to not just learn and enjoy varied cuisines but are becoming central to the way people make new friends in the real world.
