Model polling booths set up

The District Election Wing has set up model and all women polling booths, one each for all the eight Constituencies in Thanjavur district.According to official sources, while festoons, banana trees, ‘sandal paste’ and vermilion to receive the voters, and other facilities were made available to the voters at eight booths, one each in Thiruvidaimaruthur, Kumbakonam, Papanasam, Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur, Orathanadu, Pattukottai and Peravurani Constituencies, at 8 polling booths, one each, entire polling process would be supervised and carried out by women officials only.
