Today marks the release of Mold 3.0 for this Rust-based high performance linker. Mold 3.0 is said to be a drop-in replacement to Mold 2.42.1 as the prior stable release, albeit now written in the Rust programming language rather than C++. With Mold 3.x the main focus is on addressing remaining compatibility gaps with GNU LD: "mold 3.0.0 is a new major release of the high-speed linker.
